Vision #7 | Neenah Wedding Photographer

Number 7 in the "Vision Series: Works of Art."

Does your photographer have vision? Find one that does.

Just a side note: the final result is a painting. There's no Photoshop filter that can create the beauty of hand-painted image. This is the result of a few hours of work in a program called Corel Painter. The only difference is the Wacom is your brush, and the monitor is your canvas.

Enjoy.

Ps. This is the only time I've ever posted the original straight-out-of-camera image of this particular shot online. Count yourselves lucky. :)

Laney + Baseman Studios Photography's new logo!

Photographing beautiful children is always fun... and Laney had a solemn cuteness to her that this painting really brings out. This was from awhile ago, but thought I'd share it along with the new logo.

Any raves/rants?

I found this.

... in the deep recesses of my folders.

Just had to bring it out and show you!

Paintings!

I did these a few weeks back and wanted to share them with everyone...

Creating paintings out of photographs is one of my most favorite things to do, and when you have a skilled photographer's images to work on, it's even more fun!

These images are copyright Amber Pheifer of Pheifer Photography. Please check out her website! She's got some other great work also.

30-Minute Painter Study

We had to do an activity the other day in our painter class where she only gave us small amounts of time for different elements in the photo, ie. background, secondary elements, etc. It was great to stretch ourselves to accomplish that. Without further ado, I present my 30-Minute Study!

Pretty painter...

Here's my Painter class midterm project. I was really pleased with how it turned out. The original image is pretty, but "painting" it has such a neat effect!

Painter

Our advanced electronic imaging class this semester is mostly learning and working with Corel Painter and making "paintings" out of our photographs. Thought I'd let you see what we're working on a bit. I can't wait to try this on portraits!

Originals on top, "paintings" on bottom.

*Please note, these are not my images and the copyrights do not belong to me. Very likely they are sample images provided by Corel Painter.
